Brief Introduction of Syphons

The syphon  is O-shaped, U-shaped, etc.; the joint is M20 * 1.5, M14 * 1.5, 1/4 NPT, 1/2 NPT, etc. It is widely used in beer, beverage, food, paper making, pharmaceutical, decoration and other industries where fluid pressure measurement is required.

Function 

The syphons are used to connect the pressure gauge with the measuring equipment or pipe of pressure gauge. It is used to buffer the instantaneous impact of the measured medium on the spring pipe of pressure gauge and reduce the temperature of the measured medium. It is a device to protect the pressure gauge.、

Selection of pressure gauges

Different types of pressure gauges should be selected for different media and environment, and different syphons are also needed.

1. General media, such as air, water, steam, oil, etc., can be used ordinary pressure gauge.

2. Special pressure gauges are required for special media, such as ammonia, oxygen, hydrogen, acetylene, etc.

3. For general corrosive medium and corrosive gas environment, stainless steel pressure gauge can be selected.

4. For measuring the pressure of liquid, gas or medium with solid plankton with high viscosity, easy crystallization, high corrosiveness and high temperature, diaphragm pressure gauge is selected.

5. For impulse medium and mechanical vibration pressure measurement, should choose shock proof pressure gauge.

6. If there is a remote transmission requirement, the remote transmission pressure gauge can be selected. The remote transmission signals include current type, resistance type and voltage type.

7. Electric contact pressure gauge can be selected when there are control and protection requirements.

8. If there are explosion-proof requirements, explosion-proof type must be selected, such as explosion-proof electric contact pressure gauge.
