Hikelok double ferrule fitting series has passed ASTM F1387 test and ABS certification. The products have excellent sealing performance and are widely used.
1. Sealing principle
(1) Insert the tube into the bottom of the fitting body, and mark the position line after the nut is tightened by hand;
(2) Tighten by hand to 1 / 4 turn, the front of the rear ferrule displaces along the rear oblique direction of the front ferrule towards the radial direction of the tube fitting, contacts with the tube fitting, and the front of the front ferrule displaces along the sealing direction of the fitting body towards the radial direction of the tube fitting;
(3) 1 / 4 turn to 1 / 2 turn, the front and rear ferrules are pushed forward, which interact with the tube fittings, and the surface of the tubing is slightly deformed;
(4) 1 / 2 to 3 / 4 turns, the ferrule advances, and the surface of the tubing is deformed. When the front of the front ferrule is in close contact with the tubing, the surface of the tubing will be polished to help realize sealing;
(5) 3 / 4 turn to 1 turn, the rear ferrule continues to be embedded into the tubing, and the interaction force between the sealing surface of the fitting body and the tubing continues to increase;
(6) 1 to 1-1 / 4 turns, the rear ferrule catches the tubing, and firmly fixes the ferrule at the sealing position to realize fastening and sealing.
Note: for 1 / 16, 1 / 8, and 3 / 16 foot, 2, 3, and 4 mm tube fittings, only 3 / 4 turn the nut during installation.
