Valve is a common tool that will be used in many industries and play a very import role in the production life, there are some major application areas of valves.
1. Oil-based devices valves
Oil refining devices. Most of valves used in oil-refining are pipeline valves, including gate valves, globe valves, check valves and proportional relief valves, ball valves. Gate valves account for about 80%.
Chemical fiber used devices. The major products of chemical fiber are polyester, acrylic and polyvinyl alcohol fiber. They usually use ball valves and jacketed valves.
Acrylonitrile- used devices. They often use gate valves, globe valves, ball valves and plug valves. Gate valves account for about 75% of total valves.
Synthetic ammonia used devices. They usually use gate valves, globe valves, check valves, ball valves, diaphragm valves, needle valves and proportional relief valves.
2. Valves in hydro-power station areas
The construction of China’s hydro-power station is developing toward the direction of large-scale, it usually uses proportional relief valves, pressure reducing regulators, globe valves with large diameter and high pressure.
3. Valves in metallurgy area
Aluminum oxide process in metallurgy area needs globe valves, regulating drain valves；metal sealing ball valves, butterfly valves will be needed in steelmaking area.
4. Valves in ocean-related area
More and more valves will be needed in ocean-related areas along with the development of offshore oil industry, such as ball valves, check valves and multiway valves.
